Platform Lifts

A platform lift must be made to suit its environment. Measurements of height and length of the staircase are taken into account, as well as whether the staircase is straight or curved. It is also possible to install outdoor platform lifts that are weatherproofed and allow wheelchair users to travel to different levels outside. Extras such as dual remote controls and colour of lift fixture and platform can be chosen by the user. The lift is ultimately entirely customised for its location, ideally suited to its user and the requirements of its operation.

Safety is an extremely important issue to be considered when installing all kinds of lifts, especially one intended for disabled users. Platform lifts must be installed to be strong and to operate smoothly and efficiently with as little trouble and requirement for maintenance as possible. Additional external power supplies are included in the event of normal power failure, to ensure users aren’t left stranded. A platform lift must adhere to safety regulations, and must be capable of comfortably bearing its normal load.
